Forgiveness is Bliss! :O)

If you want a fast track to Enlightenment, you must learn to forgive. Forgiveness is the single most powerful tool we can use to free ourselves, and the entire Universe, from the imprisonment of fear. Fear separates us from our true self, which is loving and peaceful. Unfortunately, people "project" their fears constantly and judge others by what they see. This is not reality, but an illusion!".

If, this sounds illogical and maybe even insane, it's because it is. With their attitudes, our "offenders" are sending a negative message, but in reality, no matter what the situation, when they do attack, what they are actually saying is: "I am afraid, I'm hurting inside and I heed help. Please remind me of who I really am!

The problem is that the way we usually deal with these people is by fighting back, or by staying away from them. We may "forgive" them in the traditional sense of the word, but in reality, by focusing on the pain they made us feel, we are forever imprisoned along with them in that space in time when they hurt us. If we believe that we are all "ONE", that means that whoever hurt us is part of us and that by attacking back, we are really attacking ourselves.

The solution is extremely simple! To forgive means to "see" others for who they really are and not who they are projecting. The term Namaste, used in Yoga, literally means "I honor the light in you which I recognize as my own".  This is exactly the intention that we must hold in our minds in order to forgive.

Try this exercise to experience the healing power of forgiveness:

Think of someone who hurt you. The one you're thinking of right now will do just fine. Then imagine yourself as you are now and see that around your solar plexus there is a sphere of bright warm light. Feel the love, peace and sense of security that emanates from this globe. Allow yourself to experience the purity of your own spirit emanating from within.

Now imagine that the person who hurt you is standing about 6 feet away from you. Notice that what you're seeing is actually an image projected onto a rectangular sheet of glass. Look behind the glass another 6 feet away and notice that there is a beam of light projecting that image. And notice that the source of that light is a sphere of light exactly like your own! Allow yourself to feel for this ball of light, the same way you felt for your own. Notice that that light IS your own.

As you recognize yourself in that person, notice that their light projects a different image now and that both your lights are brighter than ever. Allow the lights to blend into one large humongous sphere and feel the sense of release which comes with every breath you take and also a sense of empowerment, security and love.

That is true forgiveness!

Do this as many times as necessary until you feel the chains of fear and pain detach themselves from your heart. Be happy that you have not only freed yourself, but all of us along with you.

Forgive your own self in this same way and notice how your perception of "reality" changes and how the world becomes a blank slate ready for you to paint the images you choose to create.

Namaste!
